I bring a global perspective to my work as a copy editor and proofreader. I’ve studied several languages, and I've lived and traveled abroad. In today’s world, having multicultural knowledge and intercultural communication skills are the key to communicating to a diverse audience.
 
For more than ten years I've also taught English to nonnative speakers. Teaching English has taught me to recognize not only the complexities of the English language but also to notice the everyday clichés and jargon that often create confusion and misunderstanding even among native speakers. This knowledge is invaluable in my work as a copy editor and proofreader.

Because I have a global perspective and a background in a variety of industries—theater, architecture, real estate, medicine, IT, law, engineering, agriculture, academia, health and wellness (I'm a certified yoga instructor.), and others—in addition to copy editing and teaching experience, I can recognize and help clients to clarify any areas that may be unclear or possibly offensive to their target audience. It also means I am familiar with most industry terminology and can quickly get up to speed, saving time and money for my clients.
